Can’t Stop The Serenity August 16, 2025 – $1,260 + $1,260 matching = $2,520 Donation Total
On August 16th, 2025 we held our first event of the year, Can’t Stop The Serenity at our gorgeous host locations of Brewvies Cinema Pub and Legends Sports Bark & Grill!
Our destination was the dusty desert planet of Jiangyin, to a Summer Solstice festival held in the Wellspring Province. The sponsor of this event was Carrizozo Mercantile, where you can get all your provisions and where you might even find a special gift among the post-hole diggers.
Our charity for this event was the amazing 1999 Collective and we were so pleased to continue fundraising for them! We welcomed two of their directors, Cole and Natalie, to our event to give us some perspective on their work and the impact they have on keeping youth out of homelessness.
They have a matching donor who doubled the impact of our fundraising throughout the year.

For FanX 2025, we brought you inside the dusty little shop of Carrizozo Mercantile, including shelves of wares, dusty burlap bags of coffee and other provisions, and yes, a new handmade Dr. Horrible themed quilt from our talented and now official Board members, Karina and Kaeleigh!
Although our Dr. Horrible Screening faced some unprecedented challenges, our crowd rose to the occasion and packed the house for our traditional end of con screening and prize giveaway.
Our charity for this event was again, the amazing 1999 Collective and we invited them to be with us at the Dr. Horrible screening to see how the magic works!
Finally, the QUILT! It was won by one of our hardcore fans, Diane! Thanks Diane!
